Within the PA.CON II – Pannonia–Adria Connection II project, Tuzla welcomed 20 participants from Croatia on 28 October 2026. During the one-day programme, participants had the opportunity to explore various tourist attractions, the city's natural and cultural heritage, as well as infrastructure improved through project activities.
The visit began with a tour of Ilinčica, a location that represents an important area for recreation, relaxation and spending time in nature. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the tourist facilities available at this site, as well as the infrastructure upgraded through the PA.CON I and PA.CON II projects, with the aim of creating better conditions for visitors and promoting active tourism.
A special part of the programme was a visit to the Visitor Centre in Tuzla, which was renovated as part of the PA.CON II project. The renovation of this facility represents one of the concrete results of the project's investments. Its importance lies in providing better opportunities to showcase Tuzla's tourism potential and offer visitors information about the city's attractions and surrounding destinations.
As the programme continued, participants explored Tuzla's city centre, where they had the opportunity to discover the city's distinctive landmarks and its urban and cultural offerings. The programme continued with a visit to the Pannonian Lakes complex, one of Tuzla's most important tourist attractions, followed by a visit to the Slana Banja Memorial Park, which represents an important part of the city's natural and cultural heritage.
By visiting different locations, participants gained a broader insight into Tuzla's tourism offer and how natural and cultural resources can be connected to create a unique and integrated tourist experience.
The thematic visit provided an opportunity to present Tuzla's tourism potential, as well as the concrete results of investments made through the PA.CON II project. Through activities of this kind, the project contributes to promoting tourist destinations, strengthening connections between stakeholders from the cross-border area and exchanging experiences, with the aim of further developing and improving the tourism offer.
