The joint cross-border education "Basics of communication and marketing in the tourism sector" will be held from 01-03. November 2023 at the "Salis" hotel in Tuzla (Soli Street no. 4-Tuzla).
The education will bring together key tourism organizations/communities, representatives of service activities in tourism and representatives of associations/associations working to promote the tourism potential of the Tuzla Canton and the region of western Serbia, for whom this will be an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills in the marketing/promotion of tourist products and skills communication and presentation of tourist destinations. At the same time, the education will serve as a platform for networking and exchange of experiences among participants to further promote and improve the joint cross-border tourist offer in the target areas.
Joint cross-border education is one of the activities of the project "New locations for outdoor recreation to improve the quality of tourist products - Open-Air Everywhere!", which is jointly implemented by the Development Association NERDA, the City of Tuzla, the Tourist Board of the City of Tuzla and the Tourism Organization of the Western Serbia Region . The project was financed within the third call of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014 - 2020 (IPA II), which is co-financed by the European Union. The total value of the project is EUR 394,082.03 with co-financing from the European Union of 84.87% (EUR 334,457.42) and 15.13% (EUR 59,624.61) of the contribution of the project partners. The contract on co-financing by the European Union was signed with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia - Department for contracting and financing of programs financed by the European Union.
The project will contribute to the improvement of tourist sites and services in the cross-border area by creating a unique offer of outdoor recreational tourism, which will improve the ability of the tourism sector in Western Serbia and the Tuzla Canton to attract more tourists and visitors. Project activities will strongly contribute to the networking of key actors from the tourism sector, but also to the identification of potential for the future promotion of common tourist products in both regions.
