Seventh meeting of the Peer Review Group (PRG) was held today in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together PRG members working with young NEETs, as well as representatives of the project partners, Development Association NERDA and the Ministry of Economy of Tuzla Canton.
The session was fully facilitated by four PRG members and focused on professional reflection rather than new measures or evaluations. Participants explored what keeps young people going when systems fail, shifting the perspective from deficits to strengths. Special attention was given to understanding behaviour through its function, questioning professional assumptions, and reflecting on what the environment can do differently to better support young people in NEET situations.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of reflective practice and a deeper understanding of young people’s experiences as the foundation for sustainable and meaningful support.
As the project moves toward its final phase, this reflective approach serves as a reminder that sustainable support begins not only with programmes and measures, but with how professionals see, interpret, and relate to the young people they aim to support.
