Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Release 1st of February, 2022, for immediate release

RESTART_4Danube project team and Development Association NERDA have just announced the 2022 “Creative Danurban contest” – the competition aims in bringing young and prosperous creative minds to develop business or project ideas supporting (sub)urban regeneration in the Danube region cities. Top three winners will receive the opportunity to travel to Chisinau Moldova to join the ceremony at the end of the RESTART_4Danube project.

A full list of eligibility criteria and further information on the competition is available through the official website of the RESTART_4Danube project.

The main aim of the presented competition is to build and nurture the traditions of knowledge exchange and therefore we invite students, artists and young creative entrepreneurs, individually on in tandems with mentors from higher education and research institutions, policy makers or SMEs to join in and present your very own project or business idea on how to support urban regeneration.

The competition is designed to cover the three main topics:

Urban regeneration – green or nostalgic?,

Spaces and places – old or new?, and

Coming and going – the art of transition.

Dr. Tamara Besednjak Valič, who is managing the competition emphasises this “competition is a unique possibility for students and young entrepreneurs to join forces and experiment on the possibilities of their own contribution to (sub)urban regeneration of their local cities. This contribution can be in a form of an innovative small-scale project or can be set as business idea and at a later stage transformed into real business opportunity.”

The competition will be held on three stages, with the first stage entry deadline on 20th of April 2020. For successful participants the two deadlines will follow: 1th of July for the second stage and 21st of September for the third stage. Top ten applicants will be invited to the third stage of the competition and will present their project or business ideas in a online event held on 30th of September 2022.

The three winners will have the costs to the final event in Chisinau Moldova covered in November/December 2022.
