Kick-off meeting was held at the premises of the NERDA Association for Development with 12 young people from the rural communities of Tuzla Canton, who are participants in a training focused on strengthening digital skills and personal development.
This training is intended for young people currently classified as NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training), and its goal is to empower them for more active engagement in the labour market. Through interactive workshops and practical activities, participants will have the opportunity to acquire useful knowledge and skills that can help them in finding employment or launching their own business initiatives.
Throughout the training, every participant will receive mentor support – a total of four experienced mentors will work individually with the young people, providing them with continuous support, motivation, and guidance for applying what they have learned in practice.
The training and mentorship program is part of the activities of the "Back on Track" project, which aims to support NEET youth from rural communities to strengthen their knowledge and skills and become more actively involved in the life of their communities. The project is financed by the EU Interreg Danube Region Programme, and the partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina are the NERDA Association for Development and the Ministry of Economy of Tuzla Canton, which also provided co-financing for the project – thereby further confirming its commitment to projects aimed at supporting youth.
The arrival of the Minister of Economy of Tuzla Canton, Mr. Edin Duraković, gave special importance to today's event. He addressed the attendees, thanked the young people for their interest in participating in the program, and emphasized the significance of such initiatives for strengthening the potential of young people in the Canton.
