Development Association NERDA, as one of the partners in the implementation of the IntegrAGE Project, organized a meeting on February 20, 2025, with key stakeholders involved in the integration of workers aged 55+ into the labor market.
During the discussion, participants analyzed key challenges and trends in the employment of this category of workers, with a particular focus on demographic changes and their impact on the labor market, the obstacles this age group faces, and opportunities for their participation in the employment process.
The discussion resulted in recommendations for improving policies for workers aged 55+, including the creation of more flexible work arrangements, the introduction of special mentorship and training programs, and the strengthening of institutional support. The importance of intergenerational knowledge transfer was also highlighted as a key tool for utilizing the expertise and experience of this workforce while simultaneously fostering stronger intergenerational connections in the workplace.
Development Association NERDA continues with the implementation of the IntegrAGE project through upcoming activities, including the development of training and mentorship programs and workforce integration campaigns for workers aged 55+.
The project "A Practical Approach to Supporting the Healthy Adaptation and Integration of the 55+ Workforce into the Labor Market – IntegrAGE" is funded through the Interreg Danube Region Programme, co-financed by European Union funds.
