From 17 to 19 November 2025, the Back on Track project organized a significant policy-focused communication event in Brussels titled "From Policy to Practice: Delivering Social Inclusion for Rural NEETs in the Danube Region". The event brought together approximately 80 participants from 15 European countries, including policymakers, youth workers, and representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament.
The Development Association NERDA had a particularly notable participation in this event. As one of the key project partners, NERDA representatives actively participated in strategic discussions and, during the second part of the session, led a thematic roundtable on "Outreach & Strategy".
Through this session, NERDA shared valuable experiences with partners from the Danube Region on how to effectively identify and motivate young people in rural and often underserved areas who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET population). It was emphasized that success depends on tailoring approaches to local realities, combining fieldwork and digital tools.
