On June 19, 2024, the NERDA Association for Development participated in the first transnational intersectoral workshop of key stakeholders entitled "Unlocking the Potential of NEETs" via the Zoom platform.

During the nearly two-hour program, moderated and organized by PRIZMA - Employment Opportunities Foundation from Slovenia in collaboration with the project partners of the "Back on Track" project, a group of 48 participants gathered and were introduced to the project and opportunities for cooperation.

The first workshop covered three topics, which related to utilizing technology for NEET engagement, overcoming digital barriers, and ways to motivate and engage NEETs. Participants discussed strategies and solutions to overcome obstacles in accessing and using digital tools and resources, promoting digital inclusion, and empowering NEETs in the community. In addition, discussions focused on innovative approaches to inspire NEETs towards personal and professional development, encouraging their participation in educational and professional activities, and finally, on empowering them to re-enter or advance in the workforce or education. It was concluded that by increasing the virtual mobility of rural NEETs, their integration and the attractiveness of rural areas can be significantly improved.
