It is with great pleasure and pride that we share the news that Enes Drljević, one of the founders and the long-standing director of the NERDA Development Association, has been awarded the Tuzla Plaque, one of the significant public recognitions of the City of Tuzla.

This recognition is a confirmation of Enes Drljević's decades-long professional and social engagement and his exceptional contribution to local and regional economic development, the development of the non-governmental and microfinance sectors, the utilization of European and other international funds, as well as the affirmation of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

As the long-standing director of NERDA, Enes Drljević played a key role in building an organization that has grown over the years into one of the recognizable regional development agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. Under his leadership, NERDA has developed and implemented numerous projects in the fields of economic development, energy efficiency and environmental protection, labor market development, export promotion, and attracting foreign investments.

A particularly significant part of his professional engagement was related to developing capacities for the utilization of European Union funds and building the trust of international partners in domestic institutions and organizations. During his leadership of NERDA, for the first time, an international donor entrusted a Bosnian-Herzegovinian organization with the independent management of a multi-million value development project, which represented a major step forward for the domestic development sector.

His professional path, however, is not only marked by the results of the projects and institutions he helped build. One of his most important contributions is investing in people – transferring knowledge and experience, mentoring, and creating expert teams capable of continuing to develop new initiatives and achieve results in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and Europe.

For the NERDA collective, this recognition has special meaning. It is a confirmation of the values upon which our organization has been built since its beginnings – expertise, responsibility, openness to cooperation, connecting people and institutions, and the belief that sustainable community development is built through knowledge, trust, and long-term partnerships.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Enes Drljević on this well-deserved recognition, with gratitude for his contribution to the development of NERDA, Tuzla, and the entire region, as well as for the knowledge, experience, and professional values he has passed on to generations of associates throughout his career.
